When Annie Visits Your School
Annie appears from the past carrying her baskets.
*She likes to talk with a class at a time so that the children have an opportunity to delve into the baskets and question her about their contents.
*The basket of fripperies will reveal garments once worn by gentry, then on stage and now for poorer folk to buy... and for chosen children to try on.
*The backpack contains Annie's personal possesions; the wherewithal to spin and sew, drink and dine.
*Her pedlar's tray contains fine wares for your kitchen, toys and games for the childer, and charms to keep you safe in the uncertain world she comes from.
* The children can exchange 21st century money for Tudor pennies and groats and buy a souvenir from Annie's tray.
*The day may end with song and dance and a story.

School Visits and Historical Interpretations
Annie walks through towns and villages peddling her wares. She prattles to folk she meets along the way. She knows nought of matters of state but once glimpsed the queen, Elizabeth I, on a progress. She remembers when Henry VIII sat on the throne, her time as a maid in a grand house, and is proud that her three sons are doing well; in the military, apprenticed as a potter and a wheelwright. Now a widow, she peddles her neighbours' goods to make a living.
